India is lagging behind in vocational education compared to many other developing and developed countries. Since 2009 NSDC has taken lead in catalyzing creation of large quality and for profit vocational institutions. RUDMI started in a small way the vocational training. It has trained 120 women, 600 farmers and 150 Divyangs in various types of skill training. The list include vermin compos, stitching, non Garment Textiles, Potato Wafers, Bakery Products, Cattle Feed, Artificial Jewellery, Desktop Publishing, Business Process Outsourcing-BPO, Basic Computer Skills, Dairying, Bindi Making, Ready to eat foods and etc.
