Smt. Nandini P. Divatia Rural Rehabilitation Awards for Disabled
RUDMI has instituted Smt. Nandini P. Divatia Rural Rehabilitation Awards for Disabled with cash prize of Rs. 15,000/- and a certificate since 2007. Every year 20 to 25 disabled from Gujarat and Maharashtra are awarded and motivated for self employment. Up till now 222 divyangs are awarded and all of them have started earning through self employment. RUDMI provides follow up services also wherever needed. In 2011 it instituted Smt. Nandini P. Divatia Rural Rehabilitation Institutional Awards, where one two institutions are felicitated by a certificate of appreciation. The award presentation ceremony is being organized in first week of December every year and national level dignitaries are invited to present the awards.
